The official logo of upcoming Pakistan-Sri Lanka cricket series has been unveiled on Wednesday by the representatives of Mobilink and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Mobilink Jazz announced to support the upcoming Pakistan-Sri Lanka cricket series, which has been titled 'the Mobilink Jazz Cup 2012'.
The announcement was made at a local hotel, where representatives from Mobilink and PCB were present. The Mobilink Jazz Cup 2012 for the Sri Lanka - Pakistan series is unique as it will be the first time that Pakistan's away series will be sponsored by a Pakistani brand.
The series will be held between June 1 to July 12, 2012 in Sri Lanka, with two T20s, five One-dayers and three Tests. "The initiative is a continuation of Mobilink's commitment to providing healthy entertainment to the people of Pakistan, whilst continuing to satisfy the nation's passion for cricket", Jahanzeb Taj, vice president marketing, Mobilink told reporters.
He said, "Mobilink Jazz has a long standing commitment to the game of cricket in Pakistan and is also the official cellular service partner for the Pakistan Cricket Board. Our support to this tournament is a continuation of our belief in the power of cricket in uniting the nation. This is the fourth time that Mobilink Jazz will be title sponsors for Pakistan's international cricket, with the last series being the highly successful Pakistan England series."
Subhan Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer, PCB said, "the Sri Lanka-Pakistan series is a highly anticipated contest, and offers a lot of excitement for the fans of cricket. I would like to thanks Mobilink Jazz for their support for Pakistan's cricket, which has helped us continue our journey of success."
It may be noted that Jazz has been at the forefront of promoting cricket in Pakistan, having previously contributed towards strengthening Pakistan's domestic cricket infrastructure as well as developing cricket stars for the future. Jazz has also recently undertaken an initiative to include Pakistan's cricket stars as part of its marketing campaigns, with ten members of the Pakistan cricket team signed on as brand ambassadors.
