Faisal Khan of Qatar and Muhammad Bilal Khan of National Gymkhana Lahore slammed spectacular centuries to guide their respective teams to emphatic victories in the second Pakistan Champions Cricket League here on Wednesday. Right handed batsman from Doha, Faisal blasted half a dozen sixes and ten 4s in his 101 off 55 balls as Qatar whipped Tigers CC Tando Adam by 66 runs at RCLA Ground Gulburg.
At TMC Ground, National Gymkhana Lahore thrashed AO Cricket Club by 52 runs thanks to a scintillating 108 spiced with ten boundaries and seven sixes by Muhammad Bilal. Earlier, at the same ground on Tuesday night, Imran Jannat hit a sparkling half century and pacers Abdul Adil and Khaliq Dada Noori shared six between them as favourites Afghanistan Youth chalked their second win by beating United Sports by 39 runs.
Imran hoisted five sixes and struck as many boundaries in his 72 off 45 balls as Afghan Youth raised 172-7 in their 20 overs. United Sports in response was bowled out for 133 in 19th over. Earlier, in their opening match Afghanistan defeated Pak Crescent CC by 10 runs.
Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzak scored a brilliant 53 in 40 balls with five boundaries and three sixes and left arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar captured four wickets 23 runs as P&T Gymkhana Lahore recorded a nail-biting three wickets victory over Combined CC Faisalabad. However, Muhammad Zubair of Combined CC, who blasted an attacking 46 with seven was named man of the match.
