Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy has once again shown that he is not only a great cricket, but also a great ambassador as well saying “Pakistani people love me and I love them back.”
The two time World T20 Champion squad skipper Sammy reflecting his experience playing here in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium said, “We have been there in the Gaddafi Stadium, it was an amazing atmosphere, the people embraced us.”
“It’s has been an amazing journey, and to top it up with the trophy was an amazing experience,” Sammy stated in a video released under Peshawar Zalmi's banner.
Commenting on international cricket in Pakistan he said, “I was part of bringing in the International Cricket back to Pakistan that is something I will cherish, it shows Peshawar is a family and to see Chris Jordan, David Malan and Marlon Samuels was great.”
He vowed to repeat the same performance in the PSL3 and play final in National Stadium Karachi on March 25.

The 34-year-old hoped that Zalmi will lift the trophy for the second time and hopped that they would be having more time to celebrate the victory in Karachi.
Talking about Zalmi’s strategy for upcoming edition of the tournament, he said: “I always tell the guys, if we play the brunt of cricket that Peshawar knows how to play we are going to be unstoppable.”
“We have to control what we can in the dressing room and make sure we prepare right and we go out and execute right, he added.”
“We are not afraid of any opposition, but we respect every single team in the league. But once Peshawar stepped over the rope it is the ‘Yellow Army’ coming at you,” Sammy warned PSL opponents.
