Pakistan’s domestic cricketer Muhammad Zaryab commits suicide for not being selected in the team, local media reported on Tuesday.
Zaryab committed suicide after he was dropped from Karachi's Under-19 team for being older than the standard requirement.
He did not take well news of his expulsion from the team and hanged himself from a piece of rope.
Former Pakistan international cricket and father of the deceased cricketer, Aamer Hanif in a video message said his son was pressurized while playing in Under 19.
“He was under so much pressured during the under 19 that he quitted all his activities and committed this extreme act,” he added.
Hanif said, “the coaches and other staff should be careful while dealing with youngsters in the future.”
