The government has decided to award the ‘Shaan-e-Pakistan Award’ to all the people working in the frontline in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar announced this while talking to media in Lahore. He said the award will be presented to all the corona heroes who worked in various fields including providing assistance to poor families and providing health facilities.
President Arif Alvi will present the award to them in the last week of this month,. He said provincial governors, Punjab Chief Minister and Azad Kashmir's president will be invited to the ceremony, Radio Pakistan reported.
The governor added that a ‘Corona Heroes Wall’ has also been prepared to acknowledge the services of these heroes at governor house on which names of all corona heroes would be inscribed.
The wall would be unveiled on October 27, Sarwar said. He added that all those who had played a constructive role during the coronavirus crisis would always be remembered.
