KARACHI: Despite slowdown in economic activities especially during Covid-19 pandemic, the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Port Qasim has succeeded to surpass its revenue target by Rs291 million in the month of November. According to the provisional statistics, the department, which is given a revenue target of Rs16.26 billion for the month of November, 2020, has collected Rs16.55 billion, surpassing its revenue target by Rs291 million.
The overall revenue collection for the month of November stood at Rs55.44 billion as against Rs53.97 billion collected during last November, of which, Rs33.8 billion was collected on account of sales tax while Rs471 million and Rs4.55 billion were generated against FED and income tax, respectively.
