All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and veteran Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Geelani have strongly condemned the imposition of curfew by the authorities in the territory to prevent people from protesting against attack on worshipers, desecration of the Holy Quran and killing of peaceful protesters by Indian troops in Gool area of occupied Ramban.
According to KMS, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement in Srinagar, deplored that the authorities once again resorted to their oft-repeated dictatorial tactics by confining the population of the entire Kashmir Valley to their homes. Condemning the killing of civilians in Ramban, he paid tribute to the martyrs and expressed sympathy with the injured and inhabitants of Ramban. "People of Ramban should not feel alone in these testing times. Hurriyet leadership and people of entire Kashmir are with them," he added. The Mirwaiz said that India had given its troops a licence to kill innocent people in the occupied territory whenever they wished and nobody would dare to even question them.
