PML-N taking all possible steps to win confidence of people: Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that for the first time in the history of the country, people have given historic mandate to Pakistan Muslim League-N. He said that a political party receives such exemplary mandate after centuries. He said it is the demand of the mandate given by the people that record of public service should be set for winning the confidence of the people. He said that all problems including energy crisis would have to be resolved.
He said that the business of spurious agri drugs would be eliminated and provision of water at the tails would be ensured by eliminating water theft. He said that Pakistan would be brought to light by bringing out of darkness and would serve the people by becoming their khadim in the real sense. He expressed these views while talking to various delegations which called on him Tuesday. Provincial ministers, advisors, special assistants and party office-bearers were also present on the occasion. Shahbaz said that energy crisis has become the biggest problem of Pakistan and PML-N government is working round the clock for overcoming it.
He said that negotiations with local and foreign companies associated with energy are continuing. Shahbaz said that energy crisis has made the life of the people miserable. He said that former rulers did not pay any attention to resolve energy crisis during last five years. He said that the tough decisions would have to be made for setting the economy on right direction. The CM said that production cost of electricity can be reduced by utilising cheap sources of energy generation. He said that steps are being taken for changing thana culture. He said that sub-inspectors would be recruited through Public Service Commission on merit in a very transparent manner. He said that after imparting modern training, they would be posted in police stations.
He said that corruption and corrupt officers will not be tolerated. He said it is the responsibility of elected representatives to identify corrupt officers so that strict action could be taken against them. He said that Punjab would be made an exemplary province by eliminating corruption, ensuring rule of law and good governance. He said that people have to adjudge us on the basis of merit and justice, therefore, no compromise would be made on it.
