Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided, in principle, to replace governors of three provinces soon after presidential election. Sources told INP that the governors of three provinces - Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - would be replaced after presidential election. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar's name for the governorship of Punjab has already been decided, who has returned to the country after renouncing his British nationality.
President PML-N Ghaus Ali Shah is being seriously considered as governor Sindh and his name is likely to be finalized in the next few days. Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi has emerged as strong candidate for the governorship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The party leadership has already endorsed him for the provinces top slot. The sources further said that the party secretary general Iqbal Zafar Jhagra will be appointed as Advisor to the Prime Minister.
