The Universal Service Fund (USF) has launched Broadband Southern Telecom Region-V Project in the Sindh province, said an official of Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication. Talking to APP on Thursday, he said this project aims at providing 56,500 broadband connections, establishing 125 Educational Broadband Centres (EBCs) and establishing 55 community broadband centres in the ten districts of Sindh province.
Giving details, he said the districts include Ghotkhi, Jacobabad, Kambar Shahdadkot, Kashmore, Khairpur, Larkana, Naurshero Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Shikarpur and Sukkur. Replying to a question, he said the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of current year.
