The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) on Monday has initiated five-day Financial Management Inventory Control Indigenous on-campus training under Modern University Governance Programme aimed at to polish administrative skills of university staff.
The training is arranged by Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC), UAF in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission. The training is organised on the directives of the HEC.
Chairing the inaugural session, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Dean Professor Dr Laeeq Akbar Lodhi urged staff to work with dedication. The training will help them to enhance their working with the capacity building.
Treasurer Umer Saeed said that the UAF is enhancing its own resources. He said that the UAF research funding has exceeded to two billion rupees.
ORIC Director Professor Dr Rao Asif Ali said that university is committed to produce the skilled manpower. He said that capacity building of the staff were essential to flourish the institutions.
Lecturer Ayesha Asghar talked about the counselling and ways to control the temper. On Tuesday (today), Treasurer Umar Saeed will brief the participants about various aspects of budgeting and financing whereas procurement procedures will be discussed by Director Procurement Rana M Khalid. On September 3, Director Procurement Rana M Khalid will deliver his lecture on inventory documentation and control.
On September 4, Ashraf Mumtaz Deputy Treasurer (Sr) will give briefing on fee collection. Treasurer Umar Saeed will speak on monetary benefits for the legal heirs of deceased employees. Dr Abdul Rashid, former member of PARB will highlight monitoring and evaluation. On September 5, Director IT Farjeel Javed and Faisal Shahzad will deliver his address on ICT in financial management.
