Chairman Board of Management Nishtar Medical Institute (NMI) Khawaja Jalaluddin Romi opened Phase-I of modern Out Patients Department (OPD) here on Friday. Habib Bank Foundation has extended financial help of over Rs 10 million for the project which would be completed in two phases.
Jalaluddin Romi said the NMI was catering a large number of patients from Balochistan,KPK, Sindh and other areas. He added that Multan needed another hospital like Nishtar as number of patients visiting NMI multiplying day by day. Romi said they were trying their level best to provide the latest facilities to patients at the NMI with the help of philanthropists. He appreciated the role of Habib Bank Foundation for its keen interest in making OPD on modern guidelines. The patients will be registered on computerised system right from slip to other procedure of registration. In addition to it, phase-I of OPD consisted of waiting room, trolley, wheel chairs and other facilities. The phase has been completed with a sum of over Rs 5 million while rest of amount will be spent on phase-II of OPD.
