Inspector-General Police Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has said that the policy of restraint towards demonstrators on the Constitution Avenue would continue. He was addressing police officials during his visit to Red Zone of the Capital Saturday. The IG asked them to ensure protection of public and private properties as well as citizens in any case. He said police would continue to adopt defensive strategy but would respond fully if attacked. The IG said action would be taken against Police officials leaving their place of duty.
