On the call of the chief patron of Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of Tehreek Nifaz-e-Fiqah Jafariya (TNFJ), Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, the day of mourning was observed across the country and protests held in all major cities of Pakistan to condemn terrorism and demands were made to take action against banned organisations.
Speaking to a high-level meeting of TNFJ on the occasion, Syed Hamid Ali Moosavi has said that the National Action Plan (NAP) was appreciable, but its implementation was still pending. The tragic incident of Shikarpur is the result of the liberty given to the banned organisations. In order to act upon the action plan faith, conviction and courage are required. Instead of wasting time on developing a new force, powers must be delegated to the army and rangers to deal with terrorists.
A complete shutdown was observed for the third consecutive day on Sunday in Shikarpur as Soyem held for those martyred in the suicide blast in the town.
Meanwhile, a suspect was arrested while trying to enter the Imambargah Karbala-e- Mualla on the occasion. The detainee was being interrogated.
