Sit-ins and protest rallies were also held on Sunday against Shikarpur Incident where various parties and associations protested at different places in Hyderabad. Shia Ulema Council (SUC) staged a protest and mourning procession against Shikarpur incident at Maa Jee Hospital Road.
The mourning procession and protest was held on the appeal of Qaud-e-Millat Jaffaria Syed Sajjid Ali Naqvi where a large number of people participated. Protesters and mourners chanted slogans against Terrorism and Extremism.
Speaking on the occasion, Moulana Agha Muhammad Qambrani, Mustafa Ali Haideri, Ashique Hussain Baloch and others said that it was condemnable incident in which more than 60 peoples lost their lives.
They appealed to the government and Pak Army to take strict action against terrorists.
Later, Fateha Khawani was held for victims of Shikarpur incident. Aside from this, Pakistan Muslim League (N) Hyderabad Chapter, Muhammad Hanif Siddiqui expressed a sorrow and grief over the incident of Shikarpur where innocent peoples lost their lives, said a condolence statement issued by PML-N Secretariat Hyderabad.
Pakistan People Party (PPP) Hyderabad Chapter also held Fateha Khawani for Shikarpur incidents' victims at District Council Hyderabad. Students of Law Institute also staged a protest outside Hyderabad Press Club (HPC) against Shikarpur carnage where they chanted slogans against terrorism. Besides, a separate sit-in protest was also held against Shikarpur Incident by Sindh Progressive Forum.
