The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani Monday awarded Umeed Abad Police Check Post Incharge on arresting robber's gang within two hours and recovering looted booty from them in a ceremony held at CPO. According to details the other day three robbers on gun point snatched school fee of Rs 4200 and two mobile sets from a student in the limits of Umeed Abad Police Choki.
The elders of the area promptly reported about this accident to the Choki Incharge Assistant Sub Inspector Khan Zeb Khan who without wasting any time started search of the gang and within two hours succeeded in arrest of all three robbers and recovered the stolen money, two mobile sets and arms from them.
The resident of the area appreciated the in-time action of the incharge and recommended his name to the IGP for a reward. The IGP called the Choki Incharge to his office today and awarded him cash prize and commendation certificate. The IGP Nasir Khan Durrani said that public satisfaction and trust were the real yard stick of the police performance and added that the police jawan with the support of the local people can easily achieve its target against the criminals.
The IGP commended the in-time action of the Choki In-charge and public co-operation in the above mentioned case and hoped that police and public co-operation against the criminals will continue in future too. On this occasion the IGP awarded Assistant sub inspector Khan Zeb Khan with cash prize of Rs 10000 and commendation certificate.
