Chairman Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh on Thursday said that authority has requested Asian Development Bank (ADB) to provide a soft loan of 50 to 70 million dollars which will be used for providing interest free loan to its shining graduates so that they can start their own business as well as for converting all TEVTA institutes on Solar Energy.
He was talking to media after meeting with five member delegation of ADB who called on him at TEVTA secretariat. The delegation comprised of Advisor to Vice President ADB Chen Chen, Country Director PRM Zaihong Yang, Principal Education Specialist Norman LaRocque, economist Farzana Noshab and Social Sector Specialist Munir Abro. The delegation also visited the class rooms of Chinese Language, IT, mobile repairing, hospitality and others. The delegation Irfan Qaiser said that World Bank also provided 50 million dollar loan to TEVTA.
