The award was presented by the Honorable Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Speaker of the Sindh Assembly to Brig (Retd) Munawar Hayat Khan Niazi, Tbt, SI(M) of FFC at a special ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel, Karachi. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Shamsh Kassim-Lakha, Chairman, Board of Directors, PCP; Mr. Tanwir Ali Agha, Executive Director, PCP, and representatives of UNDP and other award-winning organizations.
After the conclusion of the ceremony, Brig. Niazi of FFC said “I strongly believe that economic growth and our ambitions for the eradication of poverty depend upon the energy and drive of business and commerce, directly by creating jobs and indirectly by donating money and using organizational abilities to address social issues.”
The FFC Corporate Social Responsibility contributions in the areas of education, health, disaster relief and environment are significant.
