The much-anticipated trailer of ‘Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw’ is out. The action is both gloriously over the top and somewhat unique itself.
The trailer, which was released on Dwayne Johnson’s Twitter account on Friday, shows Jason Statham and Johnson go head-to-head as Agent Luke Hobbs and mercenary Deckard Shaw in locations such as central London, alongside Idris Elba and The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby.
Much of the opening of the trailer is devoted to setting Idris’s character up. “I’m dealing with the future of the planet,” he says in a voiceover. “I’m the necessary shock to the system, I am human evolutionary change; bulletproof, superhuman.”
Movie’s constant characters like Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson won’t be seen in an upcoming installment of Fast and Furious franchise.
This decision wasn’t taken too well by certain members of the original cast such as Gibson, who accused The Rock of sabotaging the franchise, and Vin Diesel, who was rumoured to have been involved in a feud with The Rock on the last film.
The movie will hit theatres on August 2.
