The Chennai Super Kings may have lost the Indian Premier League finals at the hands of Mumbai Indians, but they managed to hold their heads high thanks to a heroic and bloodied knock from Shane Watson. The former Australian all-rounder battled through a blood soaked knee to get his team close to the line. “Can you guys see the blood on his knee.. He got six stitches after the game..Got injured while diving but continue to bat without telling anyone,” Harbhajan wrote on his Instagram story while sharing a picture as well. Watson injured his leg while diving for a single leaving the Aussie with an injury that left the left trouser of his yellow uniform stained red around the knee. However, Watson continued with inning and went on to score 80 runs before he was run out in the final over. The all rounder hit four sixes and eight fours in his 59-ball knock. Respect for Shane Watson has gone beyond roof. His left knee seems to be badly injured with blood flowing out. He still batted and dived in the last over. Admirable from Watto to put his body on line at 38 after suffering from injuries throughout his career 👏👏 pic.twitter.com/4yqeGoubk4 — Shubh AggarWall (@shubh_chintak) 13 May 2019 Respect for Shane Watson has gone beyond roof.
