Pakistani cricket fans may not be in the best of moods after the national side 4-0 whitewash against hosts England in the ODIs and with the World Cup 2019 just days away it seems that the side is just not good enough.

However, albeit all the string of losses Pakistan former captain Ramiz Raja is confident over his side’s ‘magical ability’ to bounce back, and is hopeful that Pakistan would put on a good show in the upcoming tournament.

“The only thing that I am hoping on is Pakistan cricket team’s magical ability to come out of impossible situations,” said Raja. “I am also hopeful that they would enter in the World Cup with a new passion and would be a big surprise for the opposition, because this is a long format you would play against every side so if they don’t get the initial thrust Pakistan would still have the time to make a comeback in this tournament,” said Raja.

After a forgettable tour of England, Pakistan would now start prep for the upcoming World Cup, as the side will play two warm-up matches, against Afghanistan on 24 May and Bangladesh on 26 May, before opening their World Cup campaign against West Indies on 31 May.
