Pakistan's former captain Shahid Afridi expressed his approval over the inclusion of fast bowlers Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir into the final 15-men squad announced for ICC World Cup 2019.

“Now the squad is complete! Wahab and Amir bring the experience and with Shadab joining it will further strengthen our bowling, especially after trying various options. Batting already in good form,” tweeted Afridi.

The fast bowling duo of Amir and Riaz made their way in place of Junaid Khan and Faheem Ashraf, as Pakistan cricket chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq was of the view that the bowling line needed experienced players in the wake of drubbing Pakistani bowlers got at the hands of English batsmen in the recently concluded ODI series.

“Now there is no excuse,” Afridi added, as he wished the World Cup squad the best of luck for the upcoming tournament.

The national side, which is already present in England, will now start prepping for the upcoming World Cup, as the side will play two warm-up matches, against Afghanistan on May 24 and Bangladesh on May 26, before opening their World Cup campaign against West Indies on May 31.
