Pakistan top order batsman Babar Azam is eager to showcase his talents for his latest home, the Somerset County Cricket club at the Vitality Blast 2019. Sharing his experience at the recently concluded World Cup, Pakistan’s batting bulwark says he is ‘really ready’ for the T20 cricket challenge. “My World Cup has gone very well so I am hoping that my form is going to continue for Somerset. I have worked very hard and before the start of the World Cup we had a series against England, so I was feeling very confident and really ready for it. “I like playing here in England and now I am looking forward to playing for Somerset against other counties. Somerset have already won the One-Day Cup so hopefully this year I can help them to go one step further and win the T20 as well.” The number one ranked T20 batsman also had a message for Somerset Members and supporters: “I am looking forward to playing in front of my home crowd at Taunton,” he said. “I would like to ask the supporters to come along and cheer Somerset on.” The T20 tournament also includes Pakistani cricket stars including Mohammad Amir, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman and Imad Wasim.
