The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the franchisees of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have agreed to hold the entire fifth edition of the league in Pakistan. The decision comes after a successful meeting was held between PCB’s chairman Ehsan Mani and PSL franchisees on Monday. As per reports, a working committee would be established for final decisions, whereas, independent consultants would also be use to address the concerns of foreign players. The working committee would consist of members from PCB and the six franchises and will finalize the proposal within a month. It was also reportedly agreed to hire a leading foreign independent consultant to separate the PSL's identity and remove the concerns of foreign players. This comes after overseas cricketers had reportedly refused to stay in Pakistan for a long period of time for the Twenty20 tournament. The fifth edition of PSL will be held next year. Lahore will host 13 matches with the tournament opener to be held in Karachi and final to be played at Lahore. PSL 5 matches will also be held in Rawalpindi and Multan.
