After three years since their daughter's murder, the parents of Qandeel Baloch have announced to forgive their sons and have urged the court to wrap up the case.

The social media sensation Qandeel was strangled to death by her brother Muhammad Waseem back in 2016. Waseem had later confessed to killing his sister in the name of 'honor'. Qandeel's brother Aslam Shaheen was also nominated in the case.

In an affidavit submitted on Wednesday in a Multan court, Qandeel's parents say that they have forgiven their sons. The parents have asked the court to wrap up the case, local media reported. The parents have also stated in the affidavit that the Anti-Honour Killing Laws (Criminal Amendment Bill) 2015 was passed after the death of their daughter and cannot be applied to her case.

The Anti-Honour Killing Laws prevents killers from walking free after being pardoned by the victim's family. The court has summoned the replies of the lawyers representing the case.
