Coming as a major move in country's cricketing structure, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is all set to launch on Saturday its latest domestic structure for the 2019-20 season. Some six provincial teams - South Punjab, Central Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Northern Areas - will participate in the competitions, under the new system. The launching was to come earlier, however, it was delayed after a petition was filed at the Lahore High Court against the amendments made in PCB’s constitution. On Wednesday, PCB welcomed the Lahore High Court’s decision to vacate an application to suspend the PCB Constitution 2019, which was promulgated by the Government of Pakistan and came into existence on 19 August. During the proceedings, the Lahore High Court refused to grant a stay and issued notices to PCB to present its response at the next date of hearing. No date of hearing has been fixed thus far. Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani, Chief Executive Wasim Khan and Director – Domestic Cricket Haroon Rashid will unveil the new domestic structure at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
