ANP supports Fazl's Azadi march

ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has announced support for the Azadi March of Maulana Fazalur Rehman and has directed the provincial chapters of the party to evolve procedure that how they can provide cooperation to JUI-F in this regard. Addressing a meeting of the provincial council of ANP here at Bacha Khan Markaz on Friday, he said they support the Azadi March of Maulana Fazalur Rehman and now they are evolving procedure to decide the extent of cooperation. However, he said it has already been decided that he will participate in the Azadi March. He said that on the arrival of the march in Islamabad, then he himself will join it. He warned the chief minister that in case of any political worker was tortured or hurdles were created in their way, then ANP will hold the provincial government accountable and will give call to its workers to take street.

Asfandyar Wali Khan said that opposition wants the dissolution of the selected government and holding of fair and transparent polls wherein all institutions will work within their constitutional ambit and instead of inside the polling stations, the Pakistan Army will perform election duty on roads.

He declared the Action in Aid (Civil) Ordinance tantamount to martial law and termed its promulgation open violation of the constitution. He said this kind of law is never implemented in other provinces, but Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the ill-fate province wherein such laws are being implemented. He said that the matter is in the court of law and was hopeful that the court will give verdict based on justice.

Asfandyar Wali said that efforts are being made through the imposed and selected prime minister to rollback the 18th Constitutional Amendment and National Finance Commission (NFC) Award is being denied as it will decrease the share of the centre and increase the share of the provinces that is unacceptable to both the selected and selectors.
