Talking to a national TV channel, Kaira said that the political parties should be united, abide the constitution and do not negate the Charter of Democracy (CoD).
Kaira said that the PPP respected and accepted the mandate of opposition political parties and counted them powerful political forces. "The political leadership should play their due role to accept one another's failure also as happened in the world. We can be opinion makers but the final decision has to be given by the public. We have to see who is disrupting the political atmosphere in the country and try to convince them on their stance", he said.
The Secretary Information stressed upon the dire need of improving and developing political behaviour of parties at higher level.
He said the history was witness that the political parties had done a lot with consensus on the passage of 18th and 19th Amendments in the Parliament. The situation deteriorated, he said, due to the lack of interest of the leadership concerned that was partly due to the pressure from the society and media.
He added that all the political parties had a bitter past also but hopes were pinned towards betterment provided they follow the popular party's decisions amicably.
"We have followed 5 and 9 points agendas of parties, which are being reviewed and will be considered by the government", Kaira maintained.
