The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has handed over Rs 5.133 million to the prime minister's relief fund for Covid-19.

The UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf presented cheque to Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar in a meeting at Governor's House.

The governor said the government was striving hard to assist people affected by Covid-19. He said the government was giving Rs 12,000 each to deserving families under the Ehsaas Programme without any political discrimination. He said the online educational system at this time was paving the way to enhance continue academic actives.

Dr Muhammad Ashraf said amid the current scenario, online classes are in full swing, enabling the students to study at homes. He said UAF has capacity to give a lecture to 2000 students at a time online.
