The two stars went public with their friendship last month after holding a slumber party at a hotel in Los Angeles and posting pictures of their antics online.

A source tells a leading website, “Lady Gaga and Lindsay caused a stir last month when they had their ‘sleepover’ at the Chateau (Marmont hotel) and now it turns out that Lindsay will be starring in Gaga’s new video from her upcoming album.”

Another source reveals to media, “She will be in Gaga's video. They've become good friends, they talk and text all the time. Gaga really likes Lindsay and Lindsay is really happy to be able to be part of it—she has a genuine respect and admiration for Gaga and her music.”

Gaga's high-production-value video clips could be just the avenue for Lohan to claw back her credibility after years of run-ins with the law and personal troubles.

“Due to Gaga's superstar status, this would be Lindsay's biggest [role] by far in many, many years,” the insider added.

Lohan was also this week confirmed as starring in the forthcoming comedy sequel Scary Movie 5 - and is currently filming The Canyons with author-turned-filmmaker Bret Easton Ellis.
