After the news of inclusion of the two fastest men on the earth in this summer's KFC T20 Big Bash League, a Twenty20 competition in Australia, confident of his bowling capabilities, Blake claim that he is better bowler than Bolt.
“Definitely I am the quicker bowler - he will probably get more bounce than me because he is tall, but I can bang it in,” Blake said. “Definitely I am the quicker one.”
Earlier, when asked about if he would like to join the Big Bash League, Blake replied, “It's a possibility, one that I would love to come true because I've been itching to bat against Brett Lee.”
“I can play with the pros because I've got what it takes. I've been practicing at home.”
“I think I'm a better cricketer than runner.”
Blake confirmed he intended to take part in the Big Bash League along with Bolt. “I could be a top man for the West Indies,” added Blake.
Blake also believes his time will come to take over from fellow countryman and the world's fastest man Bolt.
Blake, who has stayed in London following the Games which finished at the weekend, said, “When I beat him at the Jamaican trials that gave me a lot of confidence.”
Blake added, “When I came into London I knew when he got a bit of fitness he was going to be great. I think this is his time and I'm going to get my time.”
