KARACHI: Inspector General of Sindh Police, Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari has ordered his service-men to tighten security arrangements in the province on the eve of Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary and Christmas.
on his directives issued on Sunday, he said an updated list of all churches, missionary schools, community centres of christian community, their residential blocks must be shared amongst the police officials of the province.
"This is to ensure fool proof arrangements for the security for community celebrating its religious festival on December 25," said the Sindh police chief.
He directed the provincial police officials to ensure close coordination with administrators of the churches and that to also ensure presence of police during the christmas celebrations arranged in hotels or any other place, from its beginning till the end.
He said snap checking, patrolling and other surveillance measures must be streamlined to prevent any untoward incident.
