Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Ehsan-ul-Haq was decorated with France's highest award, "Legion d'Honneur" here at a ceremony held at the residence of French ambassador.
The Legion d'Honneur, was decorated to General Ehsan-ul-Haq by the French ambassador to Pakistan Regis Belenet in recognition of his efforts to promote relations between the armed forces of the two countries.
The award, which was constituted by Napoleon Bonaparte in May, 1802 for achievements for military and civil service. The Legion of Honour (Legion d'Honneur) is currently France's premier order.
