Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has approved 30 participants for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Olympic Solidarity Technical Course, which will be conducted at Lahore's FIFA Football House from November 3 to 14. PFF Chief Faisal Saleh Hayat has urged the national coaches/trainers to acquire technical know-how and work hard for the promotion of soccer in the country.
He said there should be free and frank discussion so that the coaches would be able to share each other's ideas. "I hope this IOC course will hone the skill of the coaches under illustrious Erich Rutemöller who is one of the best-known German soccer coaches: Chief Instructor of the German Soccer Association (DFB), Member of the DFB Competence Team. Due to his expertise, his inside knowledge and great sense of humour he is one of the most sought-after speakers on the subject of soccer," he added.
Five females will be among participants that include Sadia Sheikh and Shaista Leghari who represented Pakistan in the third Amman international Women's Futsal Championship 2006 at Jordanian capital of Amman as Assistant Coach and Vice Captain, respectively. The prominent figure during 12-day course will be SAF Games 1991 Gold Medallist Muhammad Nauman Khan who captained Pakistan in second SAFF Championship 1995 at Colombo.
