Lahore-based PEL won the hearts of spectators when they earned their third successive win away from home in Pakistan Premier Football League, beating NBP 2-0. Meanwhile, two first half strikes enabled KESC to snatch 2-0 win over PMC Athletico Club Faisalabad. PFF League's lone match saw Afghan FC beating Dera XI 2-1 at Punjab University, Old Campus, Lahore.
Three successive wins on Sindh soil, enabled PEL to jump to fifth position in the table behind Navy, KRL, Wapda and Army. It was tremendous display under the fantastic game plan of Coach Asghar Khan Anjum. After beating HBL on 17 November, KPT on 19 November, PEL gave no room to NBP with impressive 2-0 win. After 0-0 first half, PEL gained authority in midfield, as the time ticked on and two late goals allow them to seal all three points against formidable opposition.
Their main hitman Asmat Ullah was once again on the score sheet with his 11th goal in the 88th minute. Stopper Muhammad Shair doubled the margin deep into injury time. KESC registered their ninth win when they downed PMC with appreciable first half display. Striker Abdul Rehman, best scorer for KESC in ongoing show, hammered both the goals in the 37th and 45th minute to raise his tally to ten.
KESC, however, suffered frustration in the second session when Referee Sattar Badini gave marching orders to new-signing Wali Khan. Quetta's Afghan FC earned their first win in PFF League- Club Leg at Punjab University, Old Campus, Lahore when they got rid of Dera Eleven 2-1 in the Group-B. Winger Ata Ur Rehman created havoc in D.I.Khan defence with opener in the 36th minute as Afghan led 1-0 at interval.
Muhammad Wasim levelled the issue in the 50th minute for Dera but skipper Obaid Ullah did captain's work with winner in the 85th minute. It was dismal match for Dera following ejection of Malik Muhammad Akbar from arena following Red card flashed by Referee Waheed Murad in the 34th minute.
