ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), Ministry of Climate Change and International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) will celebrate the World Environment Day on Wednesday June 5.
The Event has been organized in collaboration with Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), WWF-Pakistan, UNESCO and Pakistan Water Partnership (PWP) and other national and international organizations to mark the occasion.
This years the theme of the day is "Think-Eat-Save-Reduce Your FoodPrint" aiming at increasing understanding and awareness about food wastage and its impact on the growing world.
The moot will be held at National at National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) while among others Federal Secretary, Ministry of Climate Change, will attend the celebrations as Chief Guest.
World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action.
