imageKARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has nominated Senator Mian Raza Rabbani as its candidate for the forthcoming presidential election in the country.

Senior leader of PPP Makhdoom Amin Fahim announced this at a press conference here late Friday night.

He said PPP would contest presidential election and Senator Raza Rabbani will be the presidential candidate of the party in this election, scheduled to be held on August 6 in the country.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim said that the party leadership and workers have expressed confidence on Senator Raza Rabbani.

Speaking on the occasion Raza Rabbani expressed gratitude to the party leadership and workers for nominating him as presidential candidate.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah was also present on the occasion.
