LAHORE: Quite cold and partly cloudy weather with shallow fog in the morning is likely in plains of Punjab, whereas fairly widespread thunder-rain with snowfall over the hills is expected over Malakand, Mardan, Hazara divisions, Balochistan, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
According to Met report, Tyesday's trough of the westerly wave,lying over Kashmir, adjoining areas, has moved away eastwards. While yesterday's second trough of the westerly wave, lying over most parts of Iran & adjoining areas of northwest Balochistan has moved northeast wards and on Wednesday it lies over Afghanistan & western parts of the country.
Scattered thunder-rain with snowfall over the hills may occur over D. I. Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Peshawar, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions and Islamabad during the next 24 hours. Thunder-rain is likely to occur at a few places of D. G. Khan (with light snowfall over the hills), Bahawalpur, Sukkur & Larkana divisions. While mainly dry-partly cloudy weather with isolated mist would prevail over rest of areas of the country.
