ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has greeted President of the State of Eritrea, Isaias Afwerki on their Independence Day falling on May 24.

In his message of greetings, the Prime Minister said "I wish to convey on behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf our best wishes and sincere greetings on the Independence Day of Eritrea."

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Eritrea enjoyed friendly relations which would strengthen in the years ahead.

The Prime Minister expressed best wishes for Excellency's personal health and happiness and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the State of Eritrea.
