Development work irrespective of political affiliation enhanced ANP popularity: CM
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said on Sunday that we believed on service of people irrespective of political affiliation that has helped increased the popularity of the Awami National Party and people of different walk of life are joining it in large number.
He said ANP politics revolves around masses and will work with more dedication and spirit to take country to a new height of glory and prosperity, where every individual live with dignity and without any fear and gets jobs.
He expressed these views while inaugurating a community centre in Mardan Cantt completed with a cost of Rs. 3.8 million.
He said the Islam is the religion of peace and preaches tolerance in the society. He said that the Church that was burnt by the angry mob in Mardan would soon be inaugurated and would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs.30 million.
Hoti said that he considered Mardan Cantt is his second home and its development is his top priority, adding dilapidated water pipes that was one of the major reason of water bond diseases have been replaced with a cost of Rs.2 million while pavement of streets, water sanitation and other small schemes have been completed with a cost of Rs. 7.1 million.
Similarly, Rs.1 million have been spent on street lights, 1 million rupees on rehabilitation on existing filtration plants and rupees one million installation new water filtration plant beside Rs.1.1 million on provision of drain facility from Yaadgar Chowk to Pakistan Chowk.
Community centers at Abbassi Mohallah and Old Saddar besides funeral place for the area costing Rs.9.6million have been completed in addition to Qazi Bashir Road costing Rs. 24 million while Rs. 1.5million have been approved for Company Bagh Church. Similarly, work on Malakand Chowk upto Muqam Road costing Rs. 20 million would soon be completed.
He also referred to several other projects that was launched and completed during his tenure.
The chief minister Rs. 0.5 million for Madina Mosque and Rs. 1.2 million for Quba Mosque. He appreciated the efforts of district administration for completion of the projects on time.
