According to latest media reports in a recent interview Justin Timberlake was asked whether he like to team up again with his ‘Runner, Runner’ co-star Ben Affleck as Batman’s sidekick, Robin. Justin was quick to rule out that option, but instead revealed he would prefer to go for the villainous character, the Riddler.
"Not a chance in hell, I ain't playin' Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie. Now VILLAIN! I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the is the Riddler." Justin revealed to English media outlets.
He further explained why he was tempted to play, the criminal genius "The Riddler was a sociopath, so if I'm gonna play crazy, I wanna play proper crazy. I'm ready. The Riddler. Gimme a call."
Before mischievous trouble-maker was famously played by Jim Carey in 1995’s ‘Batman Forever’, which starred Val Kilmer as Batman.
Moreover, the 32-year-old popstar also expressed support for Oscar-winner Ben Affleck playing the caped crusader in the highly-anticipated ‘Man of Steel’ sequel.
"I think he's an extreme talent, so he could surprise a lot of people," Timberlake was reported as saying.
Meanwhile, it has recently been announced that shooting of Zack Snyder’s yet-untitled superhero flick will start from early next year. The film is slated for a July 2014 release and will star the ‘Argo’ filmmaker opposite Henry Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman.
