KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad has said that ongoing cleanliness drive brought positive impact as overall sanitary condition has improved in the city.
He was taklking to media persons at Clifton after visiting six towns of Karachi here on Friday.
Provincial minister for Local bodies Agha Siraj Durrani, Administrator Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed and DCO Roshan Ali Shaikh were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Governor alongwith the Minister for Local Government paid detailed visit to Shah Faisal, Korangi, Landhi, BinQasim, Gadap and Malir Towns where he inspected ongoing development projects and cleanliness condition.
The Governor also inspected ongoing work of storm water drain being carried out at Clifton Do Talwar and directed its completion as soon as possible.
To a question, the Governor said that the issue of local government elections would be resolved through consensus among all stake holders, however, the actual goal should be serving the people and the concerned departments and organizations are playing their role positively in this regard, he added.
