MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Election Commission has issued the schedule for elections to four vacant seats of the Kashmir Council.
Polling for the four seats will be held on October 12 at the Legislative Assembly Hall. Polling will take place from 10:00am to 1:00pm, followed by counting and announcement of the results.
According to the election schedule, candidates can submit their nomination papers to the secretary of the Election Commission on October 1 from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on October 2 at 10:00am. Appeals against rejection of nomination papers can be filed on October 5 from 9:00am to noon.
The appeals will be heard on October 6 from 9:00am to 12:30pm, with decisions also to be announced the same day.
Candidates can withdraw their nomination papers by October 7, while the final list of candidates will be issued on October 9.
Polling will be held at the Legislative Assembly Hall on October 12 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The counting of votes and announcement of results will take place immediately after polling.
