Govt raises petrol price by Rs2.10, diesel by Re0.30 per litre
- New prices effective for next three days
The federal government increased the price of petrol by Rs2.10 per litre to Rs392.76 and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Re0.30 to Rs399.64 per litre for October 3 to 5, 2026.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised on Friday the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism, according to an announcement by the Petroleum Division.

The revised prices were linked to international market rates of petrol and diesel, the Petroleum Division said.
Petrol will now be available at Rs392.76 per litre, up from Rs390.66, while the price of diesel has been increased to Rs399.64 from Rs399.34 per litre till Monday.
The Petroleum Division said the price revision was necessitated by global developments, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.
On Thursday, the government increased the petrol price by Rs3.26 to Rs390.66, and reduced high-speed diesel by Rs1.01 to Rs399.34 per litre.
Meanwhile, oil prices fell more than $3 and European gasoil futures dropped over 4% on Friday after reports of talks in Europe on additional diesel and crude stock releases, easing concerns over tight global energy supplies.
Brent was down $3.06, or 3%, at $99.25 a barrel at 1409 GMT. West Texas Intermediate dropped $3.95, or 4.25%, to $88.92 a barrel.
Both benchmark contracts were poised for a weekly decline, with Brent down about 4.7% so far for the week and WTI around 3.7% lower.
European gasoil futures, a benchmark for diesel prices, fell about 4.3% to $1,386.75 a metric ton.
