Published Updated

The government on Monday reduced the price of petrol by Rs2.93 to Rs395.37 per litre, while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Re0.61 to Rs396.85 per litre, effective from Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.

Petrol was previously priced at Rs398.30 per litre, while HSD stood at Rs396.24 per litre.

The revised prices will remain are effective for October 13.

The Petroleum Division said the change was necessitated by global developments, including movements in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.

On Friday, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Re0.66 to Rs398.30 per litre, while increasing the price of diesel by Re0.52 to Rs396.24 per litre.

Meanwhile, global oil prices were up 2% at near two-week highs on Monday as attacks on Saudi Arabia overshadowed the prospect of increased supplies after US President Donald Trump hailed fresh Russian diesel exports and a Russia-Ukraine ceasefire on energy targets.

Rebounding from earlier losses, Brent crude futures were up $2.04, or 2%, to $106.76 a barrel at 11:07 a.m. EDT (1507 GMT), their highest since September 29. US West Texas Intermediate crude was at $93.69 a barrel, up $1.84, or 2%.
