Ghandhara Automobiles Limited (GAL) has put the launch of the T9 Hunter Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and other upcoming models on hold until the new auto policy is finalised, while Ghandhara Industries Limited (GHNI) plans to introduce advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in its D-Max pickup within the next six months.
The updates were shared by the management of both companies during their corporate briefing sessions on Wednesday, according to a report by Topline Securities released on Thursday.
“Regarding the launch of the T9 Hunter PHEV and other prospects, management indicated that the company is awaiting finalisation of the new auto policy before proceeding,” read the report.
Meanwhile, the company sold 1,928 units of the T9 Hunter in FY26, with the single-cabin 4x2 variant accounting for around 700 to 800 units.
“T9 remained the largest revenue contributor, generating around Rs12 billion of the total standalone revenue of approximately Rs29 billion in FY26. However, commercial vehicles contributed relatively more to the bottom line, as the company absorbed the NEV adoption levy on T9 Hunter,” said Topline.
The management also indicated that new models in the Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) and EV segments are in the pipeline, although their launches may take some time.
Meanwhile, GHNI is moving ahead with product upgrades for its key D-Max lineup.
“Management highlighted that new D-Max variants are in the pipeline, although their launch may take time given the relatively longer product development and launch cycles of Japanese models.
“Additionally, new features, ADAS, are expected to be introduced in the D-Max within the next six months,” said Topline.
GHNI has set a sales target of over 6,000 units in FY27, with D-Max expected to contribute approximately 10% of revenue.
