ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommuni-cation Authority (PTA) conducted a comprehensive Quality of Experience (QoE) and Quality of Service (QoS) field survey at key locations across Islamabad and Rawalpindi to evaluate the performance, reliability and quality of telecommunication services being provided to consumers.

The exercise was led by Chairman PTA, Major General Hafeez Ur Rehman (Retd), HI(M), SI. Member (Finance) Muhammad Naveed, Member (Compliance & Enforcement) Dr Khawar Siddique Khokhar, Member Telecom Muhammad Jahanzeb Rahim, Director General (Enforcement), Director General (IR & GA), enforcement officers, representatives of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), mobile network operators and media representatives also participated in the activity.

Three dedicated teams simultaneously conducted field assessments along designated routes, covering New Islamabad International Airport, T-Chowk and major roads and connecting corridors, including Constitution Avenue, Club Road, Murree Road, Rawal Road and areas surrounding the Old Airport.

During the exercise, survey teams and media representatives made live data usage and voice calls at various locations across the twin cities to assess actual network performance and consumer experience. The initial results demonstrated excellent performance, reflecting the quality and reliability of telecom services in the areas covered during the survey.
