Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended a Black Lives Matter demonstration in Ottawa on Friday where took a knee in solidarity with the protesters.
The Canadian PM made a surprise appearance at the rally in front of Parliament. He took a knee three times alongside other protesters. This is a gesture used to protest against police brutality and the treatment of African-Americans by police.
Though Trudeau did not address the rally, he did clap and nod along with some of the other speakers. Some protesters also chanted 'Stand up to Trump'.
