Sikander Jatoi was arrested on the premises of the apex court in Islamabad after attending a hearing in the Shahzeb Khan's murder case in which his son Shahrukh is the main accused.

On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court had granted protective bail to Sikandar for one day. However, the applicant had prayed for protective bail so that he could appear before the apex court to record his statement.

Fearing that the Karachi police would arrest him at the time of appearance before the apex court, the bench granted him protective bail and directed the applicant to approach the appropriate forum to secure bail.

It may be mentioned the applicant claims he has nothing to do with the murder and was dragged into the case falsely.
