NCOC says Pakistan reports fifth consecutive day decline in coronavirus cases

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has said that there has been a decline in coronavirus cases in the country for the fifth consecutive day today.

The NCOC said that after witnessing rise in number of positive cases for three weeks, there has been a decline. The centre further said around 103 more ventilators are added, taking the total number of ventilators to 1503.

The body said to meet additional requirements of hospitals, more ventilators will be obtained between mid to end July.

The NCOC also decided to launch a complaint management system to address grievances of healthcare workers. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza said that healthcare workers can call on 1166 or message through WhatsApp on +923001111166 to file their complaint.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have reached 165,062. The country has also lost 3,229 people to the novel virus.
